WHO IS WISCONSIN CHEA?

Wisconsin CHEA is a non-profit ministry (501C3 corporation) dedicated to serving ALL home schoolers in the state of Wisconsin. Our leadership are all born-again Christians, and we have dedicated this ministry to the Lord Jesus Christ. We continually ask for His guidance in our work, and seek His face daily. We give all the glory to Him alone.

The board also seeks direction, guidance, and advice from a multitude of wise, veteran home school parents who serve as wise counsel for the ministry.

CHEA publishes and maintains this website, to help the homeschooler, and to provide information to all who seek it.

CHEA conducts media interviews when asked, and works hard to inform the general public of the benefits of home education.

CHEA conducts a statewide homeschool conference in the spring of each year, featuring exciting, learned home school speakers for parents, teens and children, speaking on a variety of topics that pertain to the homeschool family. At that conference, CHEA also runs a statewide Used Book Sale to help homeschoolers be good stewards of the finances the Lord has given them. We also feature a fully loaded vendor hall, with curriculum and materials to help the homeschool parent do his or her job well.

CHEA conducts other events when able to.

CHEA sends out home school information to the public upon request.

CHEA publishes The Comprehensive Guide to Homeschooling in Wisconsin, our own breakthrough resource guide great for both novice and seasoned homeschoolers.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Wisconsin CHEA board of directors holds to this statement of faith. We do not require that our vendors, speakers, supporters or attendees hold to this statement, but we do ask that they not hinder it in any way.

1. We believe that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant Word of God and it is the supreme and final authority for all matters of faith and life.

2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3. We believe in the perfect deity and perfect humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His bodily resurrection, His ascension and His bodily return in power and glory.

4. We believe that man was created in the image of God, but chose to sin and is therefore lost and only those who put their faith in Jesus Christ alone are saved.

5. We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and is received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose substitutionary death on the cross paid the penalty for man's sin, through His shed blood.

6. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict men of their sin, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.

7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers through our common faith in Jesus Christ.
